SEPT - DEC MOMENTS WITH NO CONTEXT

  • I sent my mom a pic of a tomato to scare her because I actually like them, and it worked.

  • We went camping, and I woke up JUST IN TIME to hear SOMETHING WALK RIGHT PAST our tiny tent. We had kept popcorn in the tent that night, and all my mind thought about was preparing to die because of that decision.

  • We did not have dinner planned after my brother's football game. I leaked this info to my grandpa while walking back to the car. Once I made it to my car, he called and invited Logan and me to Arctic Circle. Man, those chicken rings are as good as they were when I was a wee 8th grader.

  • Logan put his hard hat to use in the kitchen and learned to crack eggs. He is convinced it is the supreme way of baking.

  • I traded a paperclip 10 times to get a vintage flower frame.

  • I invited my sister to study with me on campus. She set out her things one at a time and ended with the exact setup I had - pink HydroJug, Dr Pepper Zero Sugar, MacBooks, planners, and AirPods….

  • Logan planned a date night. He took me to Costco to sit in the sauna for 5 minutes.

  • My professor bought March Madness tickets in the middle of class. His whole lecture was planned around group work to ensure he could purchase them when his time came.

  • Logan and I performed a skit on almond milk vs whole milk.

  • We went to a nice steakhouse for date night to use a gift card. I got chicken tenders… just seemed right at that moment. When the check came, we paid with our credit card, forgetting the gift card until the receipt was brought back. Luckily, the waitress worked with us and figured it out… imbeciles.

  • Attended the school rodeo. One person actually completed the team roping. Good job.

  • We drove through Logan Canyon in the fall and found this cute pond. It was so colorful and perfect until it started pouuurrrriiinnngggggg.

  • I have decided Oreo shakes are my favorite. You have to work really hard to mess those up.

  • Watched my first hockey game with little to no knowledge about the sport other than how it looks to score… walked out thinking, “man, that is a complicated sport.”

  • Helped a neighbor secure her toilet pipe… yelled at each other through the floor… bonding at its finest.

  • Went on a bike ride to Jenny's lake in Jackson… and the chain on Logan's bike was messed up the entire journey…

  • Logan also fit 26 grapes in his mouth

  • And, while Logan was eating a beef stick clearly labeled “BEEF,” he asked me if he was eating pork.

  • VISITED ARIZONA. It was 3 degrees warmer than it was in Idaho. What is this weather?

  • Went to an airplane museum while in AZ and geeked out with my more airplane-obsessed dad.

  • No one cares, but over Thanksgiving, I ate a soft pretzel at the zoo and realized the spotlight was taken from that wonderful snack too early.

  • Every road trip we went on turned into a rainstorm…

  • Logan gave me a presentation on white whales. Look them up.

  • Started and ended a Fresca addiction. Lasted a week.

  • Logan gave me another presentation about the Birth of Jesus in terms they probably used back then. That one was even more interesting than white whales if you can believe it.

  • We were given a real wood kitchen table and sanded, stained, and finished it. Took forever… but now I am obsessed.

  • I have seen more Christmas lights this season than I have since the Christmas light home shows were a big deal in my town years ago…

  • We moved from our shack turned farmhouse mid-semester to a well-heated apartment across town.

  • I woke up a few nights ago and could hear the wind blowing SO hard. I was kept from falling back asleep for at least 30 minutes.

  • Logan and I have a Christmas tree that hangs with ornaments all labeled “Logan” …. A shrine of all things… no jk. His grandparents have given him ornaments every year and for multiple occasions. Since he is approaching 50, we have a covered tree.

  • I added lilies to my list of favorite flowers.

  • I also collected some dried hydrangeas and set them in a cute vase in my living room for fall. They still stand. DIY decor is not out.

  • I realized I am scared of the dark.

  • I started doing HIIT workouts regularly. WOAH! They have been kicking my booty. Research fast-twitch and slow-twitch muscle fibers… it is so interesting.

  • We eat burgers once a week.

  • I asked Logan to make a Christmas list months ago. He did and added 2 things… a spaceship and a gold nugget. Totaling 42 million and 8 thousand dollars… all jokes.

  • I put my weighted blanket in the washer and basically thought I broke the darn thing. I always put my blanket in the washer, and it always works… but not that washer. I have since learned to wash it in the sink.

  • When we were in the process of moving, we were collecting bins and boxes. My mom called to tell us about a black bin left on the side of a main road that had been there for some time already. We waited a day and went to collect it the next night. Washed it out with handy dandy dawn dish soap and used the bin to move… one man's trash is another man's gold.
